A real basketball show. Red Bull Half Court is coming to Pražačka

Ceremonial opening of the new basketball court, national finals of the 3×3 tournament, autograph signing by the national team including Tomáš Satoranský, smash and breakdance exhibition. All this will be shown on Saturday in Prague’s Žižkov at the Pražačka sports complex.

3×3 tournament

Red Bull Half Court is a competition that annually attracts 15 thousand players from all over the world. The tournament pits 3 and 3 players against each other, and this year it will be held in the Czech Republic for the first time. The rules of the tournament are based on the official FIBA ​​game rules ​​​​for the game 3 on 3. The best teams from the three qualifications, which took place in Česká Lípa, Prague and Brno, will compete in Pražačka to advance to the world finals in Cairo, Egypt, which will take place at the beginning of September and October of this year.

New York style playground

The basketball court in Žižkov in the Pražačka complex was given a new look. The novelty is a granular surface, which is ideal for outdoor play, the baskets have a solid construction and the field is lit after dark. There is also a drinker or compressor for inflating the ball.

The exhibition collapsed

Nothing but the dunk in basketball. Tomahawk, Admiral, Reverse and other smash variants will be demonstrated during the show by one of the best dunkers in the world, Piotr Grabowski aka Grabo.

Autograph session and competition

During the day, there will be an autograph session for the basketball team as well as a competition for EuroBasket tickets, whose matches will also be played in Prague in September and where the Czech national team will also be present.

Streetball culture

Red Bull Half Court is a reflection of streetball culture, which also consists of music, art and dance. There will be a rap concert by Jihlava trio 58G, whose member is first-league football player Tomáš Kučera, alias TK27, who plays for Teplice, and a breakdance battle performed by Czech Breaking bboys.
