The roster of the Czech national team
The Czech team’s chances of success are very promising, even as the results of previous years suggest. In 2015, the national team took 7th place at the European Championship, and at the 2018 World Championship, Czech basketball players were sixth. And after 32 long years, they managed to qualify for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, where they finished in 9th place.
The national team led by Tomáš Satoranský is currently bringing together a very strong generation of players. In addition to the experienced duo Satoranský – Veselý, who together will defend the colors of Spanish Barcelona from the new season, the team should not miss Ondřej Balvín, Patrik Auda, David Jelínek or Nymburk captain Vojtěch Huban.
The Czechs will have a warm-up before the EC as part of the qualification for the 2023 World Cup. Last time, coach Ginzburg’s men defeated Lithuania, and at the end of August they will have qualifying duels with France and Hungary.
