From Friday to Sunday, Czech basketball players under the age of 18 will complete high-quality training before the upcoming European championship in Greece. The Lionesses are heading west of the country to Klatov, where the prestigious Klatov City Cup tournament is being held at the Ball Sports Center in the Domažlické suburb.

“We are really looking forward to the tournament in Klatov. As we are at the peak of our preparations for the European Championship, we need to start facing each other in match conditions, and this tournament will be an ideal test of our current strengths. We have invited opponents with three different playing styles, so we will try to create the same conditions as in the championship itself and try to react to the opponent in a quick sequence of matches,” the coach said of the Czech Lionesses on the website of the Czech Basketball Federation (ČBF).

“Both participants in division A – Finland and Israel, as well as strong Serbia, who won last year’s Challenger in Klatovy, are a guarantee of quality not only from the point of view of our game concept, but as well as for the spectators who found their way to the hall.
